Das Café Good Living is a brand of Health Opera, LLC company. Donna A. Smith is the president, and she envisions a vibrant health initiative targeting Native Americans in Alabama. The plan encompasses a unified comprehensive approach which blends cultural awareness, nutrition education, healthy cooking, healthy social sessions, and holistic ways that are realistic and easy to follow. We respect Native American's cultural knowledge and skills.
Our Mission
I was invited to help with a health ministry for Native Americans.
Because this was our first collaboration, I researched their needs to ensure a strong start. Since that time, I created a holistic health program to specifically serve Native Americans in Alabama.
The plan is to serve 225 participants who will be divided into 10 groups. Each group will receive 12-weeks of instruction (diabetes control, lowering risk of heart disease, and weight management).
